I have had the privilege of knowing the Cheramie family for many years, and a great part of that, I was able to watch Aaron grow up. It is hard to believe that time has passed as it has, and that he is now serving our country and helping to protect our freedom. He should be commended on his service and his willingness to fight for what we all enjoy each and every day. Though I am sure it is a battle and struggle for him and his family each day, he will be rewarded in the end for what he has done. Please pray for Aaron and all of our military as they serve, and pray for their quick return home. Thanks Aaron, and thanks to all who stand on the front lines to protect us and our country.

You cannot be “lone” when there is someone standing right beside you.

Thanks Aaron for serving our country. The U.S. Navy and all its members are no. 1 in my heart . That was my choice of services when I enlisted in 1956. The U.S. Navy has , in my opinion ,some of the best training in the armed forces. Congratulations to you and your mates for choosing the U.

Hey! That’s right down the road from my house. It was I and my cousin and brother who brought the Navy recruiters to Monticello. I know alot of brave men and women on this carrier. I wish them all well and may there journey there and back be smooth sailing and the wind stay at their backs. It’s nice to know we weren’t the only sailors from Monticello.

Thank you so much Joe, for adding this to your website. I am the proud mother of Aaron. Speaking from a mother with a child in the military, there is not a day that goes by that you don’t think of that child with fear and worry for their safety. They all need our thoughts and prayers and all the encouragement that we can give them for all the sacrifices they make for our safety and freedom. We all just need to pray for them, and pray that the government will end this war and let them all come home safely.
