Log Truck Overturns South of Monticello Monday
Published by Joe Burgess August 12th, 2008 in WRECKS.This log truck, belonging to J. Lauhon of Hamburg, overturned Monday morning around 10 a.m., on Lacey-New Hope Road, in a curve approximately 1/4 mile from HWY 425 South.
The driver, who was taken to Drew Memorial Hospital as a precaution, was coming around the curve, when he met an oncoming “lowboy”, which was carrying a log loader. Both trucks moved over as far as they could, but the log truck outside wheels sunk into the ground beside the pavement.
The Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. worked the wreck scene.
