At this moment, over $66,000 has been raised. The winners of our raffle items are: Reggie Goodman of Goodman Logging won the Husqvarna lawn mower. Bob Wall won the Kenmore grill. D.H. Forrest was the winner for August, the gun of the month drawing, which was a Mossburg 12 Gauge-Silver Reserve under & over.

Drew County’s 16th annual Log-A-Load for Kids was held Saturday night to benefit the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. 11 loads of logs were donated. The men and companies who donated these loads will be featured in upcoming photos here on MonticelloLive.com. These loads were auctioned off for $18,650 for the charity.
The UAM Gibson Center gyn was filled with over 500 folks attending.
The meal consisted of fried fish, hush puppies, fries, and slaw, with cake and cookies for dessert.
Several impressive items were auctioned off by Kent Davis, with the assistance of Jimmy Orrell and Buddy Lemons.
The auction included items for men, women, and children, and was followed by announcement of the silent auction winners by Michele Nicholson.
Bob Wall was the winner of the grill, and Reggie Goodman won the Husquavarna mower.

Since 1993, Drew County Log-a-Load for Kids has risen over $500,000 for Arkansas Children’s Hospital and statewide over $4 million has been raised. This money has been used to establish endowments in pediatric cardiology, air transport and radiology departments at the hospital. Currently, Log-a-Load is committed to raising $2 million over the next five years to fund the new trauma unit in the expanded ER at the hospital.
The 2008 Drew County Log-a-Load for Kids fish fry benefiting Arkansas Children’s Hospital will be held on August 2th at 6:00 pm. This year’s event is being hosted by the UAM Forestry Club and will be held at the John F. Gibson University Center Gymnasium on the UAM Campus.
Raffle items include a Husqvarna Mower, a stainless steel grill and a chance to win a “Gun-a-Month”. Tickets for the mower are $20.00 each or 6 for $100.00 and the tickets for the grill are $10.00 each. The “Gun-a-Month” tickets are $50.00 each and each ticket holder will have a chance to win a gun each month for a year.
Auction items will include hunting trips, jewelry, tires, handmade wood items, a lab puppy, a football autographed by Darren McFadden, sod pallets, homemade desserts and many other items.
