Local Man Faces Felony Marijuana Charges

November 23rd, 2009 by Joe Burgess

According to Lt. Jason Akers with the Tenth Drug Task Force, Task Force Agents, assisted by Monticello Police, executed a search warrant at a Monticello residence this week that resulted in a felony drug arrest.

According to Akers, Task Force and Monticello Police arrested Jarvis Wilson, age 29, at his residence on North Gabbert Street after agents located approximately one pound of marijuana individually bagged in the kitchen of the residence.

According to Akers, Wilson faces charges of possession of marijuana with the intent to deliver, as well as endangering the welfare of a minor, as three minor children were present at the residence while the narcotics were present, as well ast being there at the time of the search warrant being executed.

Wilson was scheduled to appear before Judge Kenneth Harper on Friday, for a First Appearance/ Probable Cause Hearing.

Thank you Monticello Police Department and Drug Task Force for getting these people off our streets and away from our children. All of us as a community need to work together to keep our streets clean and our children safe.
