Local Girl Scout Sponsors Receive Awards

The Girl Scouts of Ouachita Council held their Annual Meeting and Awards Lunchen recently.
Three members from Monticello were recognized for their accomplishemnts for the past year. Top L-R, Autumn Croswell, membership specialists, is shown presenting Brenda Chisom the Jefferson Award which recognizes an adult member whose performance is truly outstanding and benefits the community, other organizations, and the Girl Scout Organization.
Bottom L-R Linda Beam, Brenda Chisom, and Angela Beam recieved the 2nd level of the Governor’s Volunteer Excellence Award, sponsored by the Arkansas Division of Volunteerism. based on the number of hours they give to the Ouachita Council of Girl Scouts. Level 2 is for 251-500 hours in a year.
