Local Businessman Pleads Guilty to Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver
Published by Joe Burgess January 23rd, 2008 in Police /Legal.Kevin Dean Gilliam, of Quality Glass in Monticello, pled guilty Tuesday to 3 felony drug charges in the Drew County Circuit Court.
Gilliam’s charges include possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug premises. The possible sentence could be as much as 40 years, or life in prison.
The prosecuting attorney’s suggested sentence for the crime, under the plea, was set at 12 years, in the Arkansas Dept. of Corrections.
There will be a sentencing hearing on April 7 for the Judge to set the actual length he will serve.
