Local arm wrestlers place in state tourny

Mike Smith and Mark Maxey did very well at the state arm wrestling tournament in Hope on Saturday, October 7. Smith placed first in the 220 and up division, left-hand heavyweights, and he took home 3rd place in the right-hand 220 and up. Maxey placed first in the right-hand division, 220 and up heavyweights.
Maxey also went on the win the right-hand overalls, beating the first and second place winners in each weight class.
Congratulations to these two Monticellonians for taking home 1st place trophies in the heaviest weight class.
