Lloyd Will Not Seek Re-election to J.P. District 9 Seat

Danny Lloyd announced today that he would not seek re-election. Lloyd’s forth term will end with eight years of service to his County and District on December 31, 2008
Lloyd stated that he was proud of his accomplishments on the Court, and felt that his service has been as asset to the citizens of Drew County.
“It has been an honor to serve Drew County, and I appreciate the confidence of all the people that have supported me.” Lloyd continued, ”Most decisions made on the Court have a positive of negative effect on the tax paying citizens. It is my hope that the person that fills the District 9 seat will make these decisions from the heart, and refuse to be led by special interest groups.”

I just want to say that i appreciate the years of service that Danny Lloyd gave to Drew County.
There were times I agreed with him, and there were times I disagreed with him, but I will say that he always said and did what he thought was the best thing to do for Drew County.
Danny was not afraid to speak out, and should be proud of the 8 years he was a member of the Drew County Quorum Court.
