LifeShare Blood Centers will hold a blood drive this Saturday November 15th from 10am until 2pm on the parking lot at Fred’s Department Store on Hwy 425 South in Monticello.

According to donor recruiter Gary Newton, from now until the end of the year, the blood supply tends to run extremely low, while the demand for blood actually goes up. All types of blood are needed, but those with “O negative” are particularly in need with less than a two day supply on hand.

Mr. Newton also stated that if there are those in our community whos lives have been saved by blood transfusions, he would like to hear your “life stories” and perhaps publish them in an effort to show and tell the importance of donating blood.
