LifeShare Blood Centers provides blood to 139 community hospitals, including medical facilities located in the communities recently devastated by Hurricanes Ike and Gustav.

While communities in South Louisiana and Southeast Texas focus on hurricane recovery, residents from other LifeShare Communities, like ours are asked to focus on providing the blood and blood components needed to adequately supply those devastated areas.

Community Recovery Blood Drives must be conducted while LifeShare facilities in South Louisiana and Southwest Texas are being re-established. The LifeShare Lake Charles facility received four feet of water damage, while the Beaumont, Texas facility is still without electricity and reparing wind damage. Our Baton Rouge facility is operating on a limited basis in a temporary facility.
