The Monticello Branch Library proudly announces the second half of a shipment of books donated by Dr. Edgar W. Spencer, former Monticello resident.  Dr. Spencer, who currently resides in Lexington, Virginia, makes this gift of books about the earth sciences in memory of his parents, Terrel Ford and Allie Belle Spencer. The first half of this donation was exhibited during the summer at the library. You are invited to come and browse through this generous collection of adult and juvenile books. The display may be viewed until Thanksgiving. “This gift of earth science books has allowed us to update our reference materials,” said Nona Dumas, Branch Manager, “and to include many books we otherwise would not have been able to afford.” She urges the public come by the library and see this wonderful collection.
