The Circuit Court of Drew County accepted a guilty plea (or no contest) from Eric C. Lewis Tuesday, as Lewis accepted the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.

Lewis was charges as a habitual offender.  He was represented by Priscilla Neeley.   The prosecuting attorney was Frank Spain.

Lewis was sentenced to serve a sentence of 10 years in the Arkansas Dept. of Correction.

    Crack cocaine is a huge problem in Monticello.I am happy to see one off the street but there are many more. Those dealers have to be dealt with in order
    to have a peaceful town.

    If there were not user here there would not be any dealers. We need to deal with the real problems. that seem to be over looked here in Monticello. We also need more drug education.

    Drug education? ALL you need to know is it KILLS and you’ll go to JAIL if you BUY or SELL it. duh…Nothing is over looked the DTF knows what’s going on I’m sure.I didn’t feel this way untill MONTICELLOLIVE let the public know just how much the DTF MPD DCS do to protect us.Crime is down in Monticello compared to all the towns around here.Read the Dumas paper every week.You would think different of Monticello.JMO
