Level 4 Sex Offender Sentenced to Prison (Again) for Child Sex Crimes

July 27th, 2012 by

Earlier this month, a Monticello man accepted a guilty plea to the charge of sexual solicitatin of a child and 2nd degree sexual assault.

On April 7, 2012, Randy J. Milburn, age 30, of Monticello, allegedly slept in the same bed as his 12 year old victim, when the acts occurred, prior to his April court appearance.

After accepting the guilty plea, Milburn was sentenced to serve 15 years in ADC.

At the time of his arrest, Milburn was a Level 4 Registered Sex Offender, who had been released from prison after his  conviction for crimes against another child victim in Bradley County.

  1. Nana says:

I don’t know who was responsible for this child, but whoever let Milburn, a known sex offender, sleep in the bed with her (or him) needs to be prosecuted for endangering the welfare of a minor at the very least. Sex offenders, if not put away forever, will still be trying to get a kid as long as they have breath in their bodies. I know of one who was dying of cancer and STILL trying to lure little ones back to his deathbed. I don’t know what 15 years translates to in real time to be served, but at least maybe kids will be safer for a while…

  2. Dragonheart says:

    That’s it? 15 years!?!

  3. wilmar LADY says:

Yep that’s it for a 2nd offense. But a drug dealer would had gotten 40-life & charged w/ being a habitual offender. These people are violating our kids future. OMG!!!!! They need to be locked up & throw away the key. What kind of message are you sending these victims. But only in drew county!!!!!

  4. protective mother... says:

Sick!! 15 years is not enough.. but pleases me to know that where hes going for eternity will be much much longer and HOTTER!!

  5. steve says:

15 years is a joke give him 15 hours locked in a room with an abused childs parents an i guarantee he wont ever do it again

  6. Real guy says:

Didnt the guy growing pot get 20 years?

  7. LOCAL says:

Real guy: I think your right!

This is INSANE!!!!!!!! SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK!!!!

  8. Karen Donaldson says:

What is going wrong with our justice system? Why are pedophiles released only to return a few months or years down the track? Lock them up and throw away the key. Seriously, I am absolutely sick to death of these idiots being allowed to roam the streets and hurt our children!!

  9. Mike says:

He might stay 8 months. I just hope he gets his in prison. It is a joke when a pot conviction get a stronger sentence than a low life childmolester. One shot between his eyes would make him safe again

  10. just saying... says:

Rapists get away with a slap on the wrist, just like drunk drivers, thats why there are so many deaths due to drunk drivers and so many rapes go unreported because they either get away with it or do hardly any time,.. how long did he spend his first stint in prison for this? obviously not long because he is only 30 now,.. he will be out by the time is is 40 or sooner and have all these rapes under his belt… AND WILL DO IT AGIAN
