Gay Rabb Griffith Announces Plans To Run For 4TH Term as District 7 Justice of the Peace
Published by News Release January 29th, 2008 in Elections.Mrs. Griffith wishes to begin with a THANK YOU!! , stating she has thoroughly enjoyed representing the people in District 7 on the Quorum Court. She is asking you to let her represent you again for the next term of Court.
Mrs. Griffith stated for those who may not know, she is a lifelong resident of Drew County and has reared her two daughters in Drew County. Her work history has all been in Drew County from working with Vernon Roberts in his forestry business and in the County Judge’s office, being self-employed, to currently working as Director of Human Resources and Manager of Government Contracts for SeaArk Marine and SeaArk Boats. She and her family have been active in Old Union Southern Baptist Church in the Florence/Jose Chapel Community.
Mrs. Griffith stated the reason for the name change (from Rabb to Griffith) is that in 2006 she married Joe Griffith, who is also a life long resident of Drew County. Mr. Griffith is President of L.D. Long, Inc., and is also active in the community. Together they have three daughters and 4 grandchildren.
In her position with SeaArk Marine, Inc, and SeaArk Boats, as well as a member of the Court, she serves on several Committees and Boards. Mrs. Griffith states that these memberships have helped her have insight into the needs of the citizens of Drew County, such as the need for: good paying jobs, first rate schools and medical services, good roads to travel from home to work, town, etc., and roads to bring commerce into and through our County.
Mrs. Griffith states there are many issues which come before the Court. Each time she has tried to become as informed as possible about each of them, remaining unbiased and open-minded but relying on experience, then voting the way she believes is best for District 7 (and the County as a whole), following her conscience.
Mrs. Griffith wishes the voters of District 7 to know: “I’m truly honored that you have placed your confidence in me and have let me serve as your representative over the past three terms. I am asking for your confidence to allow be to serve a fourth term. I pledge I will serve the voters of District 7 to the very best of my abilities. Thank you.”
