One Tuesday, February 5, Arkansas voters will go to the polls to   cast their votes for President of the United States.

There has been a lot of confusion about how the elections will be held.

“This election will be a regular primary election, just like we have always had.  The only difference is we’re doing it in February.”  That is how Drew County Clerk, Lyna Gulledge describes the upcoming election.

Drew County Election Commision Chariman Dale Hughes commented, “This is not a caucus, it’s a primary election, like we’ve always had, here in Drew County.”

With so many states having early voting, especially with all of the national TV coverage on the ”caucus” elections up north, a lot of local residents have been asking questions.

But simply put, when you go to the polls on February 5, it will be just like when we did it back in May of 2003.  The only difference is the candidates are  different, and you may choose to wear a jacket.
