Environmental lawyer Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., touched on a wide variety of subjects during a lecture at the University of Arkansas at Monticello Thursday night. Kennedy, whose appearance was funded by a grant from the Rockefeller Lecture Series, discussed the Bush administration’s impact on environmental quality as well as campaign finance and corporate influence in Congress and the White House. Kennedy also took the news media to task for backing away from hard news and focusing on entertaining, rather than informing, the American people. Following his lecture, Kennedy signed copies of his book, “Crimes Against Nature,” at a reception in the Spencer Gallery of the UAM Fine Arts Center. Kennedy is the son of the late Robert F. Kennedy, U.S. Attorney General under President John F. Kennedy.
