Junior Billies down Sheridan

On Thursday night, the Jr. Billies beat Sheridan, 20-14, at Sheridan. With less than 2 minutes left on the clock Sheridan took the lead from Monticello 14-12. The next play Brishon Matthews took the hand off from Jo Carmichael and ran for over 60 yards to a touchdown that was called back for blocking in the back. On the next two plays, the Billies were stuffed. Then with 4th and long, Carmichael scrambled and just before being tackled he passed the ball to Caleb Bryant for a first and goal from the three-yard line. The next two plays were hand offs to Matthews for a touchdown and two-point conversion. On the kickoff, the Billies stopped all hopes from Sheridan by intercepting a shovel pass.

The senior high team travelled to Warren Friday night but were stopped cold: Monticello 7, Warren 42.
