Junior Auxiliary School Supplies Program to Help Drew County Students
Published by Joe Burgess July 23rd, 2008 in Clubs.Last year in Drew County, 72% of Drew Central School students and 50% of Monticello School students took advantage of government lunch programs. The school paid for them to eat because their parents couldn’t afford to. We want to collect enough school supplies to help each of these families.
Here’s how you can help:
• Purchase any amount of basic school supplies.
• Drop off your purchased supplies at our collections boxes located at Union, Simmons, Commerical and Parkway banks or visit us at Wal-Mart on Friday, August 8th, 10am-1pm & 5pm-8pm.
• Donate money for the purchase of needed supplies.
The Junior Auxiliary of Monticello will put together backpacks for numerous age groups and deliver them to the schools for distribution.
All donations stay in Drew County! Can you help?
For more information on how you can help, contact any Junior Auxiliary member or call (870) 723-1870!
