Following Monday night’s quorum court meeting, the retiring members of the group were recognized for their service to the county.

Louis Dunlap has served as a JP for 20 years; Jimmy Potter served his district for 30 years.  Dr. Steve Morrison was appointed to the quorum court to fill an un-expired term for the past 2 years.

County treasurer Shirley Hancock served from 2001-2012.  Judge Damon Lampkin was also honored for his 14 years of service.  Lampkin was a UP, before becoming County Judge.
