Kenneth Isom, who,  was convicted of capital murder, residential burglary, attempted capital murder, rape, and aggravated robbery in the Drew County Circuit Court in December of 2001, is attempting to introduce an issue with mitichondrial DNA.

A new technique called ”minifiler” has been developed which may be able to re-test the DNA from the case.

Isom’s attorney filed the petition with the court last week.
