Improvements Planned for Sr. Center

The Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas will facilitate the grant and upcoming public meeting on the center. The grant coming from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission covers 100 percent of the renovations. The center must offer senior activities and services though to be in compliance
Maxwell said, “The city pays no money, we just own the building; when they improve the building then we’ll own an improved building.”
The council approved for the mayor to submit an application for renovation, to dedicate the Senior Citizen Center for senior activities and to appoint the Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas as project administrator.
