Members of the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, as well as many regional business and political leaders were present Monday for the Groundbreaking ceremony, in Pine Bluff, marking the beginning of construction of the new Interchange on I-530 for the I-69 Connector road.

Jensen Construction is the contractor for the $25.1 million project.

Completion of this phase of work is expected in late 2010.  The I-69 Connector road (Highway 530) is a 38.5-mile, $614 million project
to connect I-530 in Pine Bluff to Highway 278 near Willmar which is near the future I-69.

This may sound like a stupid question but I’m would like to ask it anyway…Will all the properties between those two signs (the two on 425 S. specifically) be condemned to make way for this new interstate? If so, have those landowners been notified and how long will they have to relocate? Also, where, online, could I go to see the proposed route for this interstate?

Ya’ll just ignore me. I already know the answers to most of the questions I just asked. I guess seeing the signs suddenly made it real to me.
I did locate a website at http://i-69.dina.org that showed the proposed routes just in case anybody wants to check it out.

The groundbreaking for the I-69 connector/I-530 Interchange was in Pine Bluff at the site of the Interchange, and it was on Monday morning, not Tuesday.
