Around 2 p.m. Saturday a vehicle was filling up with gas at Big Jax, at the intersection of E. Gaines and E. McCloy streets.

The vehicle drove away from the pump before removing the gas nozzle, causing a small fuel spill.

The police and fire departments responded. The dept. of emergency management was also notified.

The situation remained under control at all tines, and was soon cleaned up.
