Published by Joe Burgess January 26th, 2008 in Police /Legal.This morning begins day 20 since Bobby Hampton’s disappearance from his home on Calhoun Street.
The ongoing search for him has involved the Drew County Sheriff’s Dept., Monticello Police Dept., and for over a week, the Arkansas State Police.
Several citizens have plans to meet at Jordan Park, this morning at 7 a.m., to organize, and then split up and search different areas of the county attempting to locate Mr. Hampton.
Drew County residents who have 4-wheelers are encouraged to bring them also, to aid in the search.
Leaders in this morning’s search attempt include Nick Smith, 723-1687, and Steve Phillips, 723-7484.
Arkansas State Police Investigator Rick McKelvey pointed out how important it is, that if anyone, involved in the search, or anyone who may find something in reference to this case, do not move it, do not pick it up, do not touch it.
Have someone watch over whatever you may have found, and send someone to notify law enforcement by calling 367-3411.
