Laron Meeks, a former Drew County Sheriff, firefighter, and retired educator, passed from this life during the early morning hours, Saturday.

Leron you will be missed and our prayer go out to your’re family in this time of heart break you where like part of our family here at home and on the fire dept you checked in on us from time to time when we lost our bobby last june and we thank you and you’re family for shareing you with our family RIP OUR FRIEND.WITH LOTS OF LOVE TO ALL THE MEEKS FAMILY.

I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Leron!! I remember seeing him at Waff-L Inn every morning drinking coffee with his friends! He always had a pleasant attitude and spoke to everybody! We’ll be sure to keep the family in our prayers… May God give you strength to endure the loss of your loved one!!
I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Meeks for a teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with her family on the loss of such a wonderful man.
