School started a new year at both Drew County schools, and brought out more traffice than Monticello streets have seen in around 3 months.  The photo here shows where Old Warren Road intersects with HWY 425.

This view shows the northbount lanes of HWY 425.

Things moved slower near MES, where MonticelloLive spoke to mothers who were bringing their youngsters to their first day (ever) or school.

The Jorday & Scogin Drive intersectrion was another high volume area, but did move at a steady pace.

The “gold star” goes out to Drew Central parents using the back parking lot drop off.  They had to deal with a new drop-off procedure, as well as a closed exit road, that had been used in earler years.  There have been reports of congestion in front of Drew Central, which may be compounded when UAM classes start Wednesday.

The MHS parking lot is shown here, and no specific problems were reported.
