1 pm Update – Escapee Running on Foot from Jordan Drive towards 425, Schools on Lockdown

Shortly after 11:30 AM, Wednesday morning, MPD dispatch was notified that a jail escapee and parolee, Brandon Cox of Monticello, had escaped from a medical facility on Jordan Drive and was running on foot through the woods toward Highway 425.
MPD, DCSO, and ASP are on the scene, along with Cezar, the search dog.
Cox was last seen running south east Toward Highway 425 wearing an orange jumpsuit and leg shackles.
Drew Central & Monticello School System. are locked down. UAM has done a campuswide notification to inform all students and staff.
Arkansas State Police helicopter and Cummins search dogs are also requested and believe to be in route.
