Dumas Youth Arrested for School Threat

A 16 year old Dumas student was taken into custody by authorities, Wednesday, for making a threat against Dumas school security, on the internet.
Sources close to the case indicate that the 16-year-old male could possibly be charged as an adult.
The statement sent out by the school district said, “This email is to inform you that through the work of the Dumas School Dist, Dumas Police Department and Arkansas State Police; we have identified the individual who posted the threats on Instagram. The individual has confessed to the post and we are taking appropriate actions. Thank you for working with us during this time. ”
