Driver Sinks Truck in Creek, Then Flees on FootApril 28th, 2013 by Joe Burgess
Around 10:45, Saturday, Drew County Sheriff’s deputies were notified of a Ford pick-up that didn’t stop at the intersection of HWYs 35 and 425, but instead drove off into the nearby cattle field.
The driver of the vehilce, attempted to get out of the pasture, but was only able to “cut donuts,” because of Saturday’s heavy rain, before driving the pick-up into the creek that runs through the property.
Shortly after they arrived at the scene, officers heard a report of a vehicle with that license plate, driving recklessly in Cleveland County.
DCSO deputies and Arkansas State Troopers assisted with traffic, while Dan’s Wrecker removed the vehicle from the creek and the field.
The driver reportedly fled on foot from the scene of the wreck.
