Mike Harbour, of Harbour Resources of Little Rock, met with the board of directors of Drew Memorial Hospital, Thursday, to discuss the board’s choice of direction in selecting a new CEO for the facility.

Harbour considers, “selling and promoting Monticello and Drew Memorial to potential candidates”.

The board agreed for Harbour to present the original pool of candidates by July 15.

Harbour told the group that there are many Chief Operations Officers that have the same level of experience and qualifications, but if their hospital is owned by a company, they may not have achieved that CEO title, previously.  The board agreed to include these circumstances in the list of applicants.

Habour’s fee is 30% of the yearly salary of the new CEO.  He “guaranteed” the new person to hold the position for 6 months, or a follow-up search would be done at his cost.

Harbour will be back at DMH Monday to meet with staff, board members, and doctors, in order to gain more knowledge about the needs and expectations that the new CEO will need to meet.
