Drew County Shooting Sports Teams Successful in Contest
Published by News Release May 13th, 2008 in Sports Other.Both Drew County Sr. Teams ended up in the Sweet Sixteen, Double D was seeded #1 and Mossy Oak Clay Busters were #9.
The Senoir Team, Double D Clay Busters are; Zach Christmas, Assistant Coach Bud McKeown, Steven Koone, Matt McKeown, Brad Holt, Coach Terry Koone, and Adam Deal.
Matt also was the top shooter for Drew County for the day with two perfect 25 out of 25 rounds out of six total 25 shot rounds.
Shown here are Brandon Rea, Waldo Llaesecke, Andrew Johns, Kurt Beaty, and Lee Johns.
Both senoir teams won their first round in the Sweet 16 and had to go head to head in the Elite 8. Double D won the round. Double D went on to win the AYSSP South Regional, {Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports Program} , and will be competiting on 6/7/08 for the State Championship. There were 12 flights of 9 for a total of 108 teams registered. Approx. 54 Jr Teams and 54 Sr. Teams.
