Tenth, Eleventh, and Twelfth graders make good use of your holiday vacation by writing (at least) a 500-word essay on Climate Change: Is it caused by naturally occurring events or mankind?”

Other requirements include a 2.0 GPA or above; three letters of recommendation from responsible adults in the community; plans to follow a course of study in conservation related field; and plans to attend a college or university in Arkansas.

Drew County Conservation District will award one $250 scholarship; the Southeast Area Conservation Districts will award one $500 scholarship; the State Association will award one $1,000, one $750 scholarship, and one $500 scholarship.

These scholarships are sponsored by your local conservation district and the Arkansas Association of Conservation Districts in an effort to assist young people interested in careers in the conservation of our natural resources.
