The Drew County Quorum Court met in it’s regular meeting, tonight, Oct. 15, at the Drew County courthouse.

Judge Damon Lampkin started the meeting off with an update on the “clean up Arkansas” grant being used to provide meals for ADC inmate crews, who were picking up along Drew County roadways and grounds.

Items on the agenda included a Drew Memorial Hospital report by Mr. Richard Goddard, DMH administrator, passing of one “housekeeping” financial ordanance, and a presentation from the local squadron of the Civil Air Patrol.

The spokesman of the squadron was Craig Kaminicki, who led a very informative directive about the Civil Air Patrol, which is an all-volunteer affiliate of the Air Force, who’s Cadet program is designed to work with 12-21 year olds.

The Monticello squadron is the only squadron in the area, and Kaminick informed the group that we have, locally, the high-tech communications system components, that make the CAP famous.

Also present were, Sr. member, Betty Evans, and 6 cadets.

Cadet Colby Deaton, a high-shcool freshman, also commented on her positives experiences at “Wing Encampment”.
