A domestic disturbance on HWY 425 south of Monticello sent 1 party to the hospital, and both parties to the jail.

William Keith Thurman, age 65, of Monticello was involved in a domestic confrontation with a family member, Melissa Thompson, age 42, both of the same address, Thursday afternoon around 3:30.

Thurman reportedly was at fault during the first part is the incident, but was later stabbed by Thompson.

Thurman was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.  He was then charged with Domestic Battery, 3rd degree.

Thompson was also charged with Aggravated Assault of a Family Member.
