Drew County has Need for Foster Parents

The informatin submitted in this report was compiled by Kristi Moseley of the Monticello office of DHS.

100 kids…..9 homes….7 workers….3 aides….that is the break down of the child welfare system in Drew County.  So many times we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of our busy lives that we forget to remember those that are less fortunate.

Right now in Drew County over 100 kids are in need of finding a safe, stable, nurturing environment to grow in.  A home where they can feel safe when they lay down to go to sleep at night.

By serving as a foster parent, you will be surprised at the joy that can be brought into your own life and the life of a child by just opening up your heart and home to these children that deserve and need love.

So step up!!!  Show a child that someone cares.  Please contact Foster Parent Liaison Regina Hawkins, Unit Supervisor Brenda Binns or County Supervisor Libby Cox at 870-367-6835 to get more information about sharing your love and home to a child in our community.  Please don’t let this invitation to show a child the love in our community pass you by.
