Live Oak Township Constable, John Scoggins, plead guilty in District Court, yesterday, to DWI 1, resolving a case from several months ago.

Scroggins had filed to run for re-election last week, but has reportedly planned to withdraw his candidacy for the Constable position.

Scroggins had hired a lawyer, but eventually accepted a plea bargain, which reduced his BAC level to .14, officially.

His is to serve 5 days of “house arrest” within 20 days, wearing the “ankle bracelet”, and will be subject to normal procedures involving Arkansas Driver Control policies.
