Drew Central EAST conducted an EAST Night Out on October 14, 2008. Former EAST students, current EAST students, parents, faculty and community members shared projects and ideas during the two hour come and go.

Drew Central EAST celebrated by lining the vocational building hallway with posters, newspaper articles, and computers to showcase the eight years of EAST. The theme “Drew Central EAST - Through the Years” was the focal point of the night.

Amber Boatner, EAST III, acted as hostess and greeted everyone at the entrance. Here guests viewed a Macromedia Flash EAST commercial created by Mark Bennett, EAST IV. In this commercial he developed characters based on the third period EAST class and the facilitator. Many fun facts were shared via this commercial.
As guests traveled the hallway, they first stopped for a presentation by Alli Jones, EAST III. Alli presented projects from the 2001-2002 school years. Special guest Malcolm Glenn was a member of the first Drew Central EAST class.

Current projects were shown in the EAST lab by project team members.

Guests commented on how well the DC EAST students works and the many community service projects completed over the years. Barbie Eubanks, DC EAST facilitator would like to thank everyone who took the time to come out and experience the EAST environment.
