Drew Central Falls to McGehee, 46-8
Published by Drew Central Schools September 12th, 2008 in Drew Central Sports.Channel 7 didn’t make the game, probably because of weather, but the tailgate party was great.
The McGehee Owls scored first, and followed with a 2 point conversion. Drew Central came back and scored with a steady drive for a touchdown, but the game ended with a final score of 46-8, with McGehee on the winning side.

Even though I did not make it to the Party due to working in McGehee of all places, the game was great. It was nice to see so many people come out and support the Pirates. I believe most of the kids young and old enjoyed taking their shoes off and playing in the mud. The 7th grade (5:30) and JR High (7:00) team will be having their first home game next Thursday with Rison. I hope we can show them just as much support. Don’t forget the Booster Club is selling many fan items such has yard signs, t-shirts, bells and passes.
Yes it was a little muddy but great fun. The guys worked hard and the High and Jr High Cheerleaders and dance team were GREAT!
