MLive has confirmed from the Dumas Police Chief that there are least 20 shooting victims, possibly more, and likely at least one fatality, from a Dumas annual event called HoodNic.

Around 6:50 pm, “multiple gunmen just started shooting” at the parking lot of the former Fred’s Dollar Store, known to many as the old Walmart.

Law enforcement and EMTs from the area are still on the scene, and at least two helicopters were evacuating triage victims to larger hospitals for more specific medical treatment.
