DMH Receives Governor’s Quality Award from Gov. Beebe

Fifteen organizations received Governor’s Quality Awards Monday evening in Little Rock, and Drew Memorial Hospital received the second highest award possible.
The top award went to White River Medical Center, receiving the Governors Award for Performance Excellence. Drew Memorial Hospital received the next highest award from the Governor, the Governors Achievement Award. Several organizations received the third place award, the Governors Commitment award and several more received the forth place award, the Governors Challenge Award.
This award is given annually to encourage Arkansas organizations, (in all businesses, not just hospitals) to engage in continuous quality improvement, which leads to performance excellence, and to provide significant recognition to those organizations.
This is a major achievement and milestone for Drew Memorial Hospital, verifying the High level of effort and commitment of the medical staff and employees at our Hospital to performance excellence. Drew Memorial Hospital is committed to continually “raising the bar “in pursuit of providing the highest levels of patient care excellence and customer service to our patients in Drew County and throughout South East Arkansas.
Organizations receiving the Governors “Achievement Award” ,through their commitment and practice of quality principals, have demonstrated systematic processes. The governor said to drew memorial Hospital” you are receiving this award, for demonstrating significant progress in building sound and notable processes through commitment and practice of quality principles to achieve performance excellence.”
We thank the board for their support to our hospital, allowing us to pursue excellence in all we do for the patients in our service area. We also thank the board, medical staff and hospital employees for their commitment to our Hospitals four pillars of excellence: employee satisfaction, customer service, safe quality care and financial health.
The four pillars of excellence was sighted by the Governors team of examiners as factor in our selection and encouraged other industries to follow our lead in quality and service excellence.
