Disc Golf Lake Location Proposal to Parks Commission- Video

At the January meeting of the Monticello Parks Commission, Logan Hancock of EFS Geotechnical presented a suggested mapping location of the city’s proposed disc golf course.
The proposed course would be built at the Harris Road end of Lake Monticello, near where the restrooms are located, after the area is cleared.
The overall image of the lake shows the location where the course could be built. The other image shows the possible disc golf holes, that were presented.
Why are we spending money on this? Why don’t we make bike lanes and safe walking areas to stores, hospitals, dr office and schools that our citizens can safely travel on…not everyone in monticello has a car, they need safe place to exercise and get their goods.
