SPANISH CLUB OFFICERS - Today
Spanish club officers need to see Ms. Wood during lunch today.

11TH GRADE TARGET TESTING - Today
Students that are taking CIV Comp I 1st and 8th periods will be taking the 11th grade literacy target test during 3rd & 4th periods in Mrs. Sanderlin’s room today.

RED & WHITE GAME - Tonight
The annual Red & White Scrimmage Basketball games will be this evening beginning at 4:30 p.m. Admission to the games will be donations of laundry detergent, dryer sheets, blank dvds, bottled water or Gatorade. Please come out and support the Drew Central Pirate basketball teams as they get ready to begin an exciting season!

BOOK CLUB MEETING - Today
There will be a Book club meeting today in Mrs. Parrish’s room during lunch. Lunch will be provided (sandwiches & chips). All students who have read any of the Twilight series books may attend. We will decide on our next book to read as well as a name for our club.

Attention Senior Girls - Deadline Today
The Drew County Jr. Miss Pageant will be Nov. 22nd. The deadline for entry is today ! You must be a senior with at least a 2.5 GPA. To fill out an application go to: wwwajm.org. The coordinator and her phone number are in the counselor’ office.

PICTURE RETAKES - Tuesday, Nov. 11th
Picture Retakes for grades 8th - 11th will be taken Tuesday, Nov. 11th. If you want to purchase pictures bring money that day! If you are retaking pictures because you do not like them, bring your original pictures back or you will not be able to retake without paying again. ALSO ……. Senior Casual Retakes , Who’s Who pictures for grades 8th - 12th and the Homecoming court (ladies w/ escorts; No jeans, hats, sunglasses, etc …) will be taken on this day.

BLT MEETING - Tuesday, Nov. 11th
There will be a BLT meeting at 8:00 in Mrs. Birch’s room.

ATTENTION SENIORS ! - Tuesday, Nov. 11th & Monday, Nov. 17th
A rep from UAPB will be on campus Tuesday, Nov 11th. A rep from SEARK College will be here Monday, Nov. 17th. If you would like to speak to either or both of these ladies be sure to sign the list outside Ms. Edmonds’ door.

CLASS OFFICERS PICTURE’S - Tuesday, Nov. 18th
Class officers’ pictures 8th - 12th grade will be taken Tuesday, Nov. 18th at the beginning of homeroom in the multi-purpose building.

CLUB PICTURES - Wednesday, Nov. 19th
TOT, FHA and the Spanish Club will have club pictures taken Wednesday, Nov. 19th at the beginning of homeroom in the multi-purpose building.

CAP MEETING - Wednesday, Nov. 19th
This month’s CAP meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov. 19th during 4th period.

PLAN TEST - Thursday, Nov. 20th
All 10th graders will be taking the PLAN Test on November 20th in the auditorium from 8 am until noon.

HERFF JONES - Monday, Nov. 24th
Herff Jones will be here on Monday, Nov. 24th to visit with Seniors about ordering announcements.

YEARBOOKS !
The yearbook staff has to decide if we will have a yearbook this year; so if you are concerned with continuing this tradition buy a yearbook NOW. The cost is $40. If we do not have 200 books sold by Dec. 19th we will be forced to cancel the yearbook. We have sold 80 books so far. Pickup a form outside Mrs. Parrish’s room.

PROJECT 3-D
The following students have qualified for Project 3-D for the first nine weeks. You need to come by the office and turn in your T-shirt size. (You must have a 3.50 GPA with NO conduct infractions)
8th Grade - Jazmine Rivera
9th Grade - Adruna Simpson.
10th Grade - Shelby Faulkner, Jimekia Lambert, La’Jada Lyles, Alex Morrison, Derrick Williams.
12th Grade - Nicole Evans and Kyle White.

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

• You may purchase a parking permit in the Counselor’s office for $5.00. You must have proof of insurance and driver’s license.
• ACT packets have arrived. You may pick up one in the counselor’s office.
• You may apply for a $1,000 scholarship from the Arkansas Student Loan Authority, just go to the website www.asla.info/collegeplanning/woodruffscholarship.htm. You can enter for the $1,000 drawing and also apply for the R. Preston Woodruff Jr. Scholarship.
• Applications are in the Counselor’s Office for the Kiwanis Club Scholarship $750.00, You must have at least a 23 on your ACT. - Deadline is Nov 25th .
