FCCLA MEMBERSHIP - Today
Tuesday, Sept. 30th is the last day to join FCCLA and Friday will be the last day to order district t-shirts. Please turn your money into Mrs. Carter or Mrs. Vance.
LIBRARY CLUB DUES - Wednesday, Oct. 1st
The deadline to pay Library Club dues will be October 1st.
PIRATE FOOTBALL - Thursday & Friday
Our Jr. High will play at home against Dewitt on Thursday night starting at 5:30. Our Sr. High will play Rison at home on Friday night starting at 7:30. Be sure to come out and support the Pirates. GO PIRATES !!!!
Fall Picture Day - Wednesday, Oct. 1st
As usual this will be a morning of interruptions but a necessity. Teachers, I am placing picture packet information in your boxes today for you to give these to your CAP students Friday morning. Students DO NOT have to purchase pictures but if they wish to be included in the yearbook they MUST have their photos taken on this date. IF students FORGET to bring their packets on picture day they will not be able to order fall pictures.
Faculty/Staff please have your photo taken as well. When our yearbook is published and there are MANY of your bright shinning faces missing it appears that we have only a handful of employees. Please accompany your class to the auditorium to have your photo taken….you may come to the front of the line. Department chairs please have your photo taken during 1st period. Teachers, during your conference be a good neighbor and help other teachers by watching their classes so they too can have their photo taken. All faculty/staff receive a free packet of photos.
TUTORING
The morning session will be from 7:15 to 7:45 and afternoons from 3:15 to 5:30.
COUNSELOR’S CORNER
• You may purchase a parking permit in the Counselor’s office for $5.00. You must have proof of insurance and driver’s license.
• ACT packets have arrived. You may pick up one in the counselor’s office.
• You may apply for a $1,000 scholarship from the Arkansas Student Loan Authority, just go to the website www.asla.info/collegeplanning/woodruffscholarship.htm. You can enter for the $1,000 drawing and also apply for the R. Preston Woodruff Jr. Scholarship.

I don’t know about the rest of the parents of the DCHS and MHS students but I really appreciate the dailey reports you have been posting on the activities at DCHS. As we all know there are times our teenagers get wrapped up in other things and forget to mention certain deadlines and or events that are coming up. I myself dont like school related deadline surprises. Those “OH MOM I forgot to tell you but I need X amount of money by tomorrow for such in such” times.. THAT DRIVES ME CRAZY..lol any way just want to say Thanks for posting these daily up dates they are a great help.
