DC 4th Grade Class Participates in Contest

DSC06163Ms. Belinda King’s 4th grade class at Drew Central Elementary recently participated in a “So You Think You Can Read” four week contest sponsored by the Librarian, Ms. Sheila Gardner. Each homeroom class competed weekly with students on their grade level by reading to accumulated the most Accelerated Reader points to avoid weekly elimination. Then they competed with each winning grade level homeroom class grades 2nd through 8th for the final elimination. Ms. King’s class won the competition and received a $50.00 award from Mrs. Gardner which will be used to purchase pizza for a PIZZA PARTY!
