The rash of business break-ins from last week, has grown into a spree that reaches across 3 counties in Southeast Arkansas.

Over the weekend, two “dollar stores” in Lake Village were broken into, as well as Fred’s in Dermott.  Also falling victim were the Tillar Bank and Tillar Post Office.

Also, Fred’s Discount Store, here in Monticello, was broken into both Friday night (manager’s office) and Satuday (pharmacy).

This morning brought another busy night for the vandals, with reports that Murphy’s Cash Store (Winchester) and an Arkansas City Bank becoming the latest to make the list of businesses, who’ve been broken into.

Local law enforcement agencies are working the investigations, with several of the burglaries bringing in the Arkansas State Police, as well.
