(Graphic) Courtroom Fight In Local Court – 9,000+ Plays/ 1st Day

July 5th, 2018 by

Around 12:35 on May 16., a 3-vs-1 brawl took place in the District Courtroom lobby, during Judge French’s family court hearings,

Lekevious Kilpatrick, age 25, Lee Charles Jr., age 23, Lee Charles Sr., age 46, and Ravon Newbill were involved in the skirmish, that day, with many other court docket case’s participants in the room.

All 4 males were cited for endangering the welfare of minors and disorderly conduct, during the fight.

All defendants went to court last week, entering “not guilty” pleas.

The trial is set to take place on August 16, in district court.

  1. M she says:

I’m confused on how the “1” vs 3 got charged for behind jumped? That man was defending himself. Horrible accusation

  2. Concerend says:

I don’t understand your purpose of posting this! Is it the negativity on blacks that you feed upon? Well there was a Bringing back the community gathering last month with an amazing turn out and very positive! I’m starting to feel uncomfortable with this site.

  3. As the aunt of the young man that was attacked, I find it very disturbing and very unprofessional for this to be presented to the public. It’s crazy how other news and information that should be made public is kept hidden or quiet. I think this is totally unprofessional for this to be presented in this manner. This is very hurtful at all levels. It should be removed.

  4. Bill Dallas says:

How disrespectful to conduct them self’s in that manor in a four room
Black, white, yellow has nothing to do with it, it respect and self control. Freedom of the press

  5. Damon Roberts says:

If they didn’t want to make the news shouldn’t have been acting like idiots in court. And to the concerned citizen. Its news! Period. If your so concerned about the negativity of blacks stop acting like idiots in public and stop making excuses for it!

  6. CJ says:

I personally thinks the 1 guy handled himself as he was supposed to! That 3 almost couldn’t take that 1! Sure enough it was the wrong place and time BUT he was definitely JUST defending himself as he should’ve!!!!!

  7. What the what says:

We should be coming together but there’s no together because we are always fighting and killing one another. What ever happened to praying together and sitting down to get this resolved. We shouldn’t want these action to be shown in the presence of our children. I say when you have 3 people jumping you where is the law and not one officer there to stop anything than drew county has serious problems. One again we need protection because surely we do not have that at all in this town. These actions need a whip on their tale. They should have been locked up until it’s their trail day.

  8. Valerie DalSanto says:

They should realize children are in the room. Children learn by watching grown-ups. So they need to remember why they are there.

  9. M says:

I was actually there & the man was defending himself. The guy that walked towards the restroom came out of the courtroom laughing and making remarks towards the young man sitting down. He rose up like he was suppose to do & the young lady beside him tried to stop it from happening. No one tried to help her or help stop this disturbing to happen, then the father of the guy acted as well. To me, no the young man was not in the wrong, he was defending himself. He shouldn’t have to go through that in the waiting room at the court. There was a Bayliff stood there and yelled but not once trying to prevent this from happening. Something should be really done about this, this is sad!

  10. Jane Best says:

This is a court out of respect for the court system everyone involved should have sat down and quietly wait. This is news and the fact that it happened in the area that it did. Yes, it should be reported. It doesn’t matter who, what, or why it happened it should be reported and reviewed to keep these public places safe. Many people have gone to courtrooms and to know that this did and could happen again makes me become aware of how to avoid situations such as this.

  11. Really?? says:

So honestly, I can see all sides. I can see your frustration of this making the news, but then again, media reports everything. I do have to disagree about the “race” statements because I believe he would’ve posted this no matter what. I’ve seen several other races on here with crazy junk happening to. My advice is also, don’t act a fool. When will we learn as Americans that it doesn’t matter the color of your skin; what matters is how you act. When you are in a public place, please behave as though you have some sense. People do not care to hear your loud conversations or witness you showing that your immature and don’t know how to communicate. I also agree with the statement about the children being present. These children are our future, and when they see crazy behavior, they think that is okay. We need to start being role models and teaching these young ones how to act civilized. Prayers for everyone and prayers that our society will start being proud Americans that love their brothers and sisters.

  12. Sandra says:

Guess we need armed policemen in the courtroom now while people are waiting. Mercy!
