Court Ordered Shotgun Destruction

Following a recent court action, where this 12 gauge Mossberg shotgun was recovered from a “felon in possession of the firearm case”, where the attorney wanted the recovered offending weapon as payment, which was objected to by the Monticello Police Dept, Judge Bynum Gibson ordered the firearm destroyed.
MHS OEC’s Darrell McDaniel is shown disabling the weapon. Photos also show where holes were cut into the barrel and magazine, to prevent its parts from making it back into the streets as parts other weapons.
