Whew!! Hasn’t the weather turned hot?  Last Monday began at the courthouse and the shop.  Then I went to flag for pipes on Grace Loop Road, looking at other roads in the area.  After returning to Monticello, I helped move a truck from Florence Road to the shop.
Office work at the courthouse filled the rest of the morning!!
After lunch I checked part of Midway Route before returning to office work at the courthouse for the rest of the day.
Tuesday began as usual.  Then I helped move a truck from Selma to Baxter.
Returning to Monticello, I attended the Safe Schools board meeting before going back to the courthouse for office work.

Thursday everyone from the shop was tied up on the roads so I carried diesel to one grader on Pleasant Springs Road and to the bushhog tractor on Hwy133/Barkada Road.
Then I checked on the progress of the project near the school.
I was busy in the office the rest of the morning.  At noon I spoke to the Lions Club about cellulosic fuels.
A trip to the shop and office chores completed the day.
Friday began as usual.  Then I returned to Grace Loop Road to check the newly-installed pipes.  I also checked Buddy Beaty Road, Collins-Cominto Road, S. 16th Section Road and others in the area.
Courthouse activities filled the rest of the day.
Saturday I was called out to check about an ATV cutting do-nuts in a road.  This is a no-no.  ATVs are off-road vehicles.
Last Monday Buddy Beaty Road, South Cominto Road, Bud Jordan Road, Rash Crossing Road, Ott Pace Road, Enon Deane Road and Sandy Creek Road were bladed.
Gravel was hauled and spread on Jones Loop.
North 16th Section Road, Mount Tabor Road, Florence Road and Lucas Lane were bushhogged.
Two 30 x 30 pipes were installed near Monticello Schools.

Class 2 rock was hauled to S. 16th Section Road and gravel to Midway Route.
Friday saw Selma Collins Road graded.
Old Dermott Road and Midway Route were patched.
Gravel was hauled to Piney Creek Road.
     Some equipment was moved.
Maintenance work was done at the shop.
Please remember the mosquito dunks.  Please remember, too, that our roads are not for race tracks or ATVers.  There have been reports of four-wheelers cutting do-nuts on the roads.  The sheriff and I were called out Saturday because of this.  It will not be tolerated.  It tears up the road and is not helpful to anyone.
     Have a great week!!
