Longest fish, 1st place-Ramiah Smith

3rd place-Sierra Parks, and 4th place-Mason Pharr

The staff of City Park Head Start Center, including director/teacher Tammy Knight, assistant teacher Nanette Wilson, and assistant teacher Sherry Bone hosted a fishing derby for the Head Start classes of Drew County: City Park Head Start, Jordan Park Head Start, and Wilmar Head Start.

Approximately 25 children and 50 adults enjoyed the beautiful morning of fishing at the Monticello School pond.  Over 125 fish were caught and measured by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission.

Lunch was provided by Ryburn Motor Company, and was enjoyed by all of the participants.   Special thanks to the cooks; Ronny Williams, Ben Philley, and Brad Stringer.

Trophies were awarded to the first place in each division and medallions were awarded to the next three places in each division.  Each child who fished received a certificate and a prize.
