First United Methodist Church hosted a concert Friday night by the group, Leyden.

Approximately 120 people in attendance.

There were youth groups from Pine Bluff and McGehee, as well as youth from many local churches.

Leyden Concert–Tonight–FUMC

Leyden is a relativly new band from Hot Springs, Arkansas, playing for Jesus Christ and to further His Kingdom. Leyden feels that God gives everyone talents and passions to serve and please Him. With the hard hitting music and high energy performance, it’s hard not to notice the passion these guys have. The band is made up of the unique voice and powerful guitar of Kyle Thurman, the added sweet guitar melodies of David Rodgers, the low end punch of Bradley Batterton, and the time settings of drummer Duran Crone.

Here is what the band has to say about rock n’roll:  “We believe rock n’ roll is a revolution designed to move people out of their comfort zone. There is no greater revolution than to change the world for Jesus Christ.”
